New Testament Worship

The Bible also tells us how to offer God-pleasing worship to our Father (John 4:24). New Testament worship consists of the following elements:

* Public prayer (1 Cor. 14:15-16)
* Preaching and teaching of God’s Word (Acts 20:7)
* Singing to praise God and encourage one another (Eph. 5:19; Heb. 13:15)
* Giving out of our abundant blessings (1 Cor. 16:1-2; 2 Cor. 9:7)
* Partaking of the Lord’s Supper (1 Cor. 11:23-26).

We at Midway echo the words of the Psalmist who said, “I was glad when they said to me, ‘Let us go to the house of the Lord!’” (Ps. 122:1).
